Growing in Community

Bedrock Lynchburg's groups are a place to grow – with God and one another.

Small Groups
Small Groups are an opportunity to sit in a circle, not in a row. While the Sunday morning experience can be a time to be challenged, encouraged, and inspired it is not the best way to form meaningful community. This is where Small Groups become a vital part of the community of Bedrock.
Our Small Groups do a variety of studies throughout the year based on what would be most beneficial to the group in their particular season. Sometimes we follow along with the Sunday messages, sometimes we walk through a video-driven series, and other times we do a book or Bible study together. Whatever we study, it will be grounded in the Word of God and will challenge and encourage you to grow in your faith. Small groups are also challenged to be outwardly focused by creating a culture of the gospel in their neighborhoods through service and hospitality.
Many of our small groups offer childcare. Two or more trained and fully background-checked workers will create a safe, secure, and vibrant place for your children. Please reach out to a small group leader about childcare before joining a group.
DNA Groups
DISCOVER • NURTURE • ACT
DNA groups consist of three people, men with men and women with women, who meet together regularly.  They seek to be known and challenge one another with Gospel truths, that they may grow to become more like Jesus through the three pillars of DNA – Discover, Nurture, and Act.
Discover | Teach the Head
The group will study the Bible using HEAR Journals and asking 5 specific questions of scripture.

Nurture | Shepherd the Heart
The group will examine their hearts and seek to better understand their beliefs from God’s perspective.

Act | Empower the Hands
The group will listen and obey as He calls us to bear fruit in keeping with repentance and obedience.
Growth as a disciple happens primarily through life-on-life interaction within gospel community. A DNA group can be a catalyst for growth and transformation.
