Small Groups are an opportunity to sit in a circle, not in a row. While the Sunday morning experience can be a time to be challenged, encouraged, and inspired it is not the best way to form meaningful community. This is where Small Groups become a vital part of the community of Bedrock.
Our Small Groups gather in homes to grow together as disciples of Jesus by caring for one another and walking through spiritual practices together each week. This journey of engaging in spiritual practices within small group is a shared experience in which you will learn and explore these rhythms, helping one another follow Jesus as individuals and as a community. Each month, your group will focus on a spiritual practice, apply it personally, and share your successes and challenges. In doing so, our groups encourage one another to follow Jesus.
DNA groups consist of three people, men with men and women with women, who meet together regularly. They seek to be known and challenge one another with Gospel truths, that they may grow to become more like Jesus through the three pillars of DNA – Discover, Nurture, and Act.
Discover | Teach the Head The group will study the Bible using HEAR Journals and asking 5 specific questions of scripture. Nurture | Shepherd the Heart The group will examine their hearts and seek to better understand their beliefs from God’s perspective. Act | Empower the Hands The group will listen and obey as He calls us to bear fruit in keeping with repentance and obedience.
Growth as a disciple happens primarily through life-on-life interaction within gospel community. A DNA group can be a catalyst for growth and transformation.
