Give through Bedrock Lynchburg
For your convenience, we have provided several different ways for you to invest in God’s Kingdom. Each method allows for God’s work to be accomplished as you are faithful to give. Find the one that’s right for you.
There are several benefits to online giving for both you and Bedrock Community Church:
Faithfully Honoring God
When you sign up to give online you are deciding in advance to faithfully give. The Bible teaches that we are to honor God with the “first fruits” of our labor (Proverbs 3:9). By setting up a recurring contribution that is scheduled to come out of your account on the day you specify, you can ensure that your first fruits are faithfully given back to God. (1 Corinthians 16:1-2)
You won’t have to remember whether you gave this month or send in an offering by mail when you’re on a trip.
We utilize an encrypted secure website for our giving portal to ensure protection of your sensitive personal information and giving history.
You have the ability to quickly see your online giving history directly through our giving portal instead of having to contact our Finance Department for a personalized report.
Online Giving Privacy Policies
Your information is held securely in our secure servers. Your information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions. You can schedule new contributions at any time and can modify or cancel those contributions at any time prior to the date they are scheduled. If you have any problems or questions related to this, please contact us at email@example.com
Every weekend we give you an opportunity to place your gift in the offering boxes during our worship service. The boxes are placed at the entrances to the auditorium. Please feel free to give anytime before or after the service. For your convenience, offering envelopes are available for any cash gifts. If you would like offering envelopes, please contact our office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 434-233-3010
You can invest in the Kingdom by cash or a check (payable to “Bedrock Church Lynchburg”) at any time. Send it to the following address:

The ministry of Bedrock Church Lynchburg is funded by God’s provision through the tithes and offerings of faithful Bedrock members and attendees. Bedrock works very hard to ensure we are doing everything possible to properly manage the financial resources that God has entrusted to us. We honor God’s provision by pursuing wise and faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability so that the financial integrity of Bedrock remains beyond reproach.
Our mission is facilitated through our system of internal controls over financial reporting and our internal budgeting and reporting processes.
Members of Bedrock Church Lynchburg may request a copy of our most recent budget or ask general questions about our financial practices at any time by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If I give a donation to the church, will I receive a tax receipt?
Every donation that we receive is recorded in our financial database. If you make a tax-deductible contribution to the church, we will send you a year-end statement with all of your contributions for the year. We mail these out to your home address annually during the month of January. To ensure that you receive your statement, you can always confirm your address with us by calling our main office or contacting us through the website.
If I make a contribution to the church, how I do know where my money is going?
Unless otherwise designated on your gift, all donations go to our general budget. If you have a question about our general budget, you can feel free to contact us by calling our main office at 434-233-3010. We also encourage all of our members to pick up a copy of the new yearly budget every November and contact an elder with any questions.
If you designate that your gift should be allocated towards a specific fund (missions, Christmas Missions Offering, Believe, etc.), your gift will be directed only towards that fund.
What is the difference between tithes & offerings?
The main difference between “Tithe” and “Offering” is not in the allocation of the funds (they both go to funding our general budget), but rather in the meaning behind the words. Tithe refers to the traditional term in the Old Testament where the people of God were asked to give the first 10% of their income back to God. “Offering” refers to any additional money beyond your “tithe” that you would like to give to the work of God through the Bedrock. They both serve the same practical purpose as far as designation to our budget but some people choose to separate their donation into the tithe (10% of their gross income) and offering (any additional money that they would like to donate above and beyond their tithe).
How long will it take for you to process my donation?
For all of our donations (online, cash, check, weekend service, by mail, etc.), please allow 5-7 days for it to clear your account. If you do not see that it has gone through after one week, please contact us so that we can investigate the issue.
Can I give a cash donation and still get tax-deductible credit?
Yes, you can. Place your cash into a clearly marked & sealed envelope, with your name, address, and contact information.
If I miss the weekend service, can I still make a contribution?
Yes. If you are not able to give at one of our weekend services but would still like to make a contribution, you can either mail in your check or cash donation, or go to our online giving and make a one-time donation.
How do I know if I entered my information correctly and my payment was made?
It will take a couple days for all payments to be processed but if all the information was entered correctly, you should see a draft in your account on the day that you scheduled your payment. If you do not see it within a few days of the scheduled payment, your transaction may not have gone through. If this is the case, we will contact you to let you know that your transaction was not successful.
